Cristiano Ronaldo will remain the best-paid footballer in the world after agreeing new terms with his club Al-Nassr. Reports say that as part of the deal, the Portuguese footballing legend will be making a combined sum of €183 million per year with the club, this translating to a mere €550,000 a day.
And as well as receiving a world record salary, the deal includes a five percent stake in Al-Nassr, so he has a vested interest in their success.
This follows a request made by Ronaldo to the club to invest in his squad, hoping to make better headway against Saudi Arabia’s other top teams, including Al Hilal and Al Ittihad. Meanwhile, the club has also been linked to Brazil’s Casemiro who could theoretically join Al-Nassr and reunite with Ronaldo to further amp the star power.
